MAD Scientist & Associates!

MAD Assoc New Logo for Genl Purposes

We love this local environmental consulting group (officially an ecological and wetlands consulting firm) and the work they’ve done with the Highlands Park wetlands has been amazing. This “Extreme Marsh Makeover” has really transformed that area and has been a wonder to see unfold. In partnering with the City of Westerville, The Dilleys highland-park-topand the team at MAD Scientist have renovated this low-quality wetlands into an area that is now used by local schools as an outdoor classroom and boasts platform trails for pedestrian investigation of the marsh. It’s very cool. As of September 2013, over 130 species of plants and 50 animal species have been observed. Decreases in nitrogen levels, conductivity, and turbidity have been documented throughout 2013. It’s truly a gem for our community.

Welcome to the event, MAD Scientists, we’re big fans! They are also partnering with Westerville Parks & Rec for the Otterbein Lake project. Seriously, they have so much great stuff happening. Check out their website and then see them at Starry Night!
